Doc, his two brothers and sister, along with their mother were brought to the shelter as strays. The pups were born on 9/7/2020. The pups are on a hold until their mange has cleared and they have been fixed. We do not have a release date, however we are accepting applications now. Please be advised that incomplete applications will not be considered, and completed applications do not equate to an accepted adoption. Although not 100% sure of the breed mix, we know there is Malamute and German Shepherd present. PAWS of Chinook does not put weight on breeds, save this - these will be large dogs. Ideal homes will be ones that are prepared to enlist the help of a professional trainer. Potential adopters should be cautioned that large pups do not know their size and can accidentally knock small children down. We have made every effort to expose these pups to people of all ages. All members of the applying household must be present for a meet and greet. Potential adopters please read carefully. Only homes with a large, secure, completely fenced in yard will be approved. The pups are currently 3 months old, we will not accept applications that leave a pup at this age home alone all day long. Veterinary and personal references will be contacted. Home visits will be scheduled before adoptions are accepted.
